We are highlighting some of the accolades recently won by short films from our catalog over the past two weeks.

In the Canary Islands section of the Canary Islands New Audiovisual Narratives Festival, held in the town of San Andrés y Sauces on La Palma, 'Cris' by Jonay García won the Best Actress award for Elisa Cano, as well as a special mention from the audience. Additionally, 'Bloody Hearts' by Samuel Labrador received a special mention for outstanding acting performance for its lead duo, Adrián Méndez and Enrique Subiela, while 'Morfeo' by Marco Oliva earned a special mention for its characterization/makeup work.

Furthermore, Emilio González’s *Papá* won the award for Best Original Screenplay at the inaugural edition of the Villasinde 'Cortosnacorte' Rural and Comedy Film Festival in León.

Finally, 'Brannia Ossaria' by Miguel Sánchez González, part of the #CortosQuercus2025 catalog, was awarded the Molino de Oro prize for Best Documentary at the La Sansilvestrale festival in Huelva. 

A new selection of Pulpeira's Hands by Silvia Cachafeiro at the fifth edition of the MAC Marín Festival, the Marín Audiovisual and Film Festival.

The event will take place from August 18 to 22, 2026, in Marín (Pontevedra), with the short film, included in the #Digital104FilmDistribution catalog, screening on Thursday, August 20, in Parque Azul.

The film is contending for the Best Short Film award and the CREA Award for Best Directing.

A selection of two films that we distributed through Digital 104 Film Distribution at the RIR Comedy Short Film Festival.

The selected titles are Looking for Travolta by Alberto García Ortiz and Dad by Emilio González.

The festival takes place in Ourense, from August 30th to September 5th.

Another selection for Dad, the short film directed by Emilio González. This time, it has been selected by the iconic Aspe Small Cinema Festival (Alicante).

The event takes place from August 17 to 21.

Brannia Ossaria by Miguel Sánchez González—a short film included in the #CortosQuercus2025 catalog—has been selected for the San Silvestre de Guzmán Film Festival La Sansilvestrale.

It is part of the 'Cartografías' section and has been nominated for Best Documentary Short Film.

The festival will take place from August 6 to 8 in San Silvestre de Guzmán, Huelva.

The short films We are islands by Marta Torrecilla and Looking for Travolta by Alberto García Ortiz, both from the #Digital104FilmDistribution catalog, are part of the Canary Islands section of the Cortonaos festival, which is taking place this week in Puerto Naos (La Palma).

In addition, Birds by Sandra Iraizoz Cía, from the #NavarraShortzinema2026 catalog, has been selected to participate in the national section of the competition.
