The short films As maos da pulpeira by Silvia Cachafeiro and The library by Carlos Zalama (#CortosQuercus2025) continue their run at the FRAME Film Festival, this time at El Centru in Vila-seca (Tarragona) on July 4th and 5th.

During its screening at the Encuentro Audiovisual de Jóvenes de Cinemajove, the short film The boy with red ears by María Lucía Suárez Barbery (#NavarraShortZinema2025) was awarded a Special Mention for Best Art Direction. Joining it on the list of winners is the short film Wounded Light by Abril Catalina Beascoechea (#CantabriaEnCorto2025), which took home three awards: First Prize at the Encuentro Audiovisual de Jóvenes, a Special Mention for Best Direction, and the Award for the Residency to be held this coming September.

The short films Where are you? by María Moreno Novoa, Far away by Marine Discazeaux, and Inania by Julia Girós and Vera Herrero Mercader have been selected for #LAZOS - Decentralized Film Festival, which will take place July 2nd–5th in Castromonte, Valladolid.

Carlos Martínez’s documentary Just a matter of time will be part of the official selection at the Helena Cortesina International Short Film Festival. The short film follows the journey of a mechanic, Kiki, in the Baracoa region of Cuba, as he attempts to restore a classic car to improve his family’s financial situation.
