This week, the Digital 104 blog featured the six short films that make up the new Quercus catalog, the regional program supporting short films in Castile and León. Today, we're pleased to welcome them here.

The titles included in #CortosQuercus2025 are Max by Jaime Alonso de Linaje, La biblioteca by Carlos Zalama, Enroque by Juan Rodríguez Briso, Canina by Néstor López, Brannia Ossaria by Miguel Sánchez González, and 9 mujeres (en el bosque lácteo) by Alfonso Ordóñez.

Four short films that we will be distributing will be part of the audiovisual showcase The Image of Memory.

The selected titles are The voice of silence by Hèctor Valls and The Rain that was by Estela Lola Cedrún and Álvaro Carrera Puig from #Digital104FilmDistribution, and The root by Isa Sáez Pérez and Ana's House by Iker Oiz Elgorriaga from #NavarraShortzinema2025.

The event takes place from February 25 to March 1 in Medellín, Colombia.

The short film Instructions for staying by Caque Trueba will have it world premiere as part of the Short Film Official Selection in the 29th edition of the Festival de Málaga, one of the main and most relevant film festival in our country.

Synopsis: "Laura, in a state of emotional shock, refuses to accept what has happened. Clinging to denial and disbelief, she is unable to say goodbye."

The short film Self-portrait by Daniela Goto Uehara has been selected as finalist at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival - #BUEIFF. The winning titles will screen on August 15th in Buenos Aires.

The short film Where are you? by María Moreno Novoa has been selected as a finalist in the Best Young Director 2026 category at the Festival de Cine de Paterna Antonio Ferrandis. The finalist short films will screen today, February 9th @ 6pm at Kinepólis in Paterna.

The short documentary Inania by Julia Girós and Vera Herrero Mercader will available to watch on #Filmin starting today, February 6th. The documentary follows the band #Gregotechno as they embark on an acoustic journey, exploring the Romanesque ruins that once enveloped the Gregorian chant. History and present intertwine as the starting point for their upcoming album.

The short film Wounded Light by Abril Catalina Beascoechea has been selected in the ARUCAD Cinematic Seeds Festival 2026, a festival dedicated to emerging filmmakers which will take place during the month of February in Cyprus.

The documentary A shooting star by Ignasi Guerrero and Arturo Méndiz has been awarded the Ola de Oro for Best Documentary at Premio Cinematográfico Familia.

The short film The Root by Isa Sáez Pérez has been selected in the prestigious Tampere Film Festival, a Goya and Academy awards qualifier, to compete in the international Echoes of the past section. The festival will take place from March 4th to the 8th in Finland.
