The Girona Film Festival opens its 36th edition this week and some our titles are featured in the finalists list. First, the feature films A house in the countryside by Domingo J. González, Quesada by Iván López, I'm gonna disappear by Coré Ruiz, A man by Beatriz Rodríguez and Crossroads by Dan Barreri. Joining them, Brais' video by Víctor García, Melody's murmur by Fabio Barber and When I think about tomorrow by Rafa Anglada. Until November 9th in Girona, Catalonia.

The short film Train to oblivion by Isabel Medarde has recevied a new selection at Festival Cinemística 2024 "Mitos, Ritos y Cotidianidad". The film festival will take place in Granada on November 7th - 24th.

La Tijera - Festival de Cortometrajes de La Orotava is starting this week and four of our short films have been selected to compete in the Canary Islands section. The finalist short films are Cris, directed by our colleague Jonay García, Space settlers by Fernando Alcántara, Broken nights by Valentino R. Sandoli and The things we love by Pablo Vilas, these last three featured in the #CanariasEnCorto2024 catalogue. On November 7th - 9th in Tenerife.

The short film Vermouth, directed by Néstor López, has received the Main Prize in the Health and Politics category at Ciclo Cine Mundo and will be screened along with the rest of the winners in two separate session on November 7th and 16th. In Neuquén, Argentina.

Three short films featured in the #CanariasEnCorto2024 regional catalogue have been selected at L'Alternativa - Festival de Cine Independiente de Barcelona, a Goya-qualifying festival. The titles, which will be competing in the national short film category, are Space settlers by Fernando Alcántara, Eye of water by Héctor García and Carnival time by Antonio Munáiz. On November 14th - 24th in Barcelona, Spain.

We've got good news to start off the week. The short film Inania, directed by Julia Girós and Vera Herrera Mecader, has received the Best Documentary Short Film Award at IN-EDIT Barcelona. The film festival is centered on films about music and the music industry.

Good t'see ya, the short film directed by Nüll García and co-written and co-starring by the director herself along with actress Alba Flores, has been programmed in the Pearls Section of the 28th Fuentes Film Festival.

The screening will be on Monday, November 4.

The festival is celebrated in Fuentes del Ebro (Zaragoza), from October 31 to November 9.

The Wandering Island, by Pablo Borges, a film included in the #CanariasenCorto2024 catalogue, has been nominated for best short film at the International Film Festival of Australia.

The awards gala will take place on November 5 in Melbourne (Australia).

We have great news for Plot Revenge (Zemberek) by Recep Çavdar and Patata by Emilio González who have been selected by the Soria International Film Festival, one of the veteran festivals in Spain, to be part of its official section. The festival is a qualifier for the Goya Awards.

In addition, Banana Trees by Brian Darias, César Loor and Luismi Rod, has been selected to be part of the parallel section 'A Question of Sex'.

The appointment is in Soria from November 8 to 17.
