We start the day with great news: Canary Tomato by Arima León wins the best editing award at the Utsav International Film Festival, held last week in the Indian city of Mumbai. Congratulations!
Also in celebration of the short film international day, four of the titles featured in the Cantabria En Corto 2022 catalogue, have been selected as part of the national event #ED+CORTO, the "shortest day of the year". The selected short films are The are no ghosts by Nacho Solana, Not for sale by MIRIAM and Alejandro Sánchez Porras, Things that won't die by Manuela Gutiérrez Arrieta, Rooms by Álvaro de la Hoz.

In celebration of the shortest day of the year, December 21st, the Espacio Seminci in Valladolid has decided to organize a screening of a selection of short film that participated in the Rodinia Festival. Among the selected films for the event, titled "El día más cortos", there is Visioned by Manuel Román Sierra.

Last Saturday, December 16th, Fairgame: 90 minutes with El Rifle by Caque Trueba and Juan Trueba was announced as winner of the Dobra Award for Best Cantabrian Short Film in the Torre en Corto film festival. The short film tells a story that moves around the opening of a a gambling house in a humble neighbourhood. A place that will serve as a nexus between three stories, three tragedies waiting to happen.

The documentary short film Crumbs, directed by Jose Larrosa and starring María José Palazón and María de la Morena has received a nomination in the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival. More specifically, the film has been selected in the Best Micro-Documentary category featured in the Golden Kapok Competition.

The short film The twilight of a perturbed consciousness, directed by Manuela Gutiérrez Arrieta, has been selected in the FIVA - Festival Internacional de Videoarte hel every year in Buenos Aires. The contest, that serves as a meeting point for videoart creators since 11 years ago, recognizes the work and talent of the director in this film that uses real testimonies of men and their experience as prostitution clients.
In Argentina from December 14th - 17th.
