The Festival Internacional de Cine de Piélagos has selected three short films distributed by us to be included in this year's programme. The short films are Tomorrow by Daniel González Catalina, and Fairgame: 90 minutes with el Rifle by Caque Trueba and Juan Trueba and The scream by Álvaro de la Hoz, both featured in the #CantabriaEnCorto2023 catalogue. The festival will take place on May 3rd - 11th.

Visioned by Manuel Román Sierra has been selected in the international competition of none other than the Tampere Film Festival, one of the three most important film festivals in Europe. The short film has been selected among 6564 submitted short films and will compete with other 63 films from 48 different countries. The Goya and Oscar qualifying festival will take place on March 6th - 10th in Tampere, Finland.

The documentary Country Women directed by Marta Solano and featured in the #CantabriaEnCorto2020 regional catalogue is now available on Youtube. Burbuja Films, the production company behind the project, shared the film on their channel last week. The women who work on the Cantabria countryside are protagonist of this story, that sheds some light into the invisible reality of the rural way of life.

Filmoteca de Cantabria will host the screening of Do it for me by Álvaro de la Hoz. The rural feature film, which has travelled internationally yo countries such as France, Chile and the US, introduces the story of Raquel, a teenage girl whose quiet life in the mountains gets disrupted by the arrival of a new neighbour. He will open up a world of opportunities she never even thought of.

The short films Idrissa Abara by Jordi Rullan and Sweety Christmas by Manuel Flix Fuentes have been selected in the Underdog Film Festival Wolfsburg. The contest's official section is divided in different categories, like the Narrative Shorts category, where the two short films are included. The event will take place during March 16th and 17th in Germany.

Déniz have been selected in the Saran International Film Festival celebrated in Bihar, India. The contest's main goal is to bring films to one of the oldest cultural regions of the world. The screenings will start next February, 10th.
