THE TIME AFTER THE RAIN in the FiSahara

Just as Mohamed Dih, the protagonist of The Time after the Rain, goes through the process of returning to the place he once called home, the feature film directed by Nina Solà, Pol Picas and Júlia Girós will also be coming back to the region where their story was born. The film has been selected in the FiSahara International Film Festival, an event created by and for the Sahwari people to raise awareness about the ongoing conflict on Western Sahara.

 

This year's edition will take place from April 29th - May 5th in the region of Ausserd.

THE BALLOON returns to Germany

THE BALLOON returns to Germany

The Balloon, the short film directed by Hugo Suárez, returns to Germany to participate in a special event made up of short films that have passed through past editions of the Braunschweig International Film Festival.

This is the event called 'Kurzfilmfrühstück' – something like 'Short Film Breakfast' –, which is being held this Sunday, April 7, starting at 10 in the morning, in the city of Hallenbad.

I WANT TO SING joins La Fila

The musical short film directed by Hèctor Romance and titled I want to sing will be participating in the Festival La Fila de Cortometrajes held in Valladolid next week. Brought to you by Cor de Rock D'Encamp, a educational project centered on music production, the title conveys a story of a not so distant future in which pollution and destruction from wars endanger the survival of human beings and the Planet. A group of rebels will start a revolution to try to turn the fate of humanity around.

 

From April 8th - 13th.

MELODY'S MURMUR selected in Kentucky

What if the utterly vital presence of our memory suddenly starts to fade away? This and many other questions about Alzheimer are explored in the short film Melody's murmur, directed by Fabio Barber, which will be traveling to the US this week. The title has been selected in the UPIKE Film and Media Arts Festival held in the city of Pickeville, Kentucky, on April 5th and 6th.

TRAIN TO OBLIVION in the FIMMER

The documentary short film Train to oblivion directed by Isabel Medarde will be participating in the III Festival Internacional de Mediometrajes de Manzanares El Real (#FIMMER). The film contest, connected to the prestigious Premios Fugaz, is divided in five different themed sections, one of them being Travel, in which they have included this story that seeks to raise awareness about the imperative of defending the public transportation system in the small towns of León.

 

From April 5th - 7th.

THE BARN selected in Ecozine Film Festival

The festival career of The Barn, the short film by Elisa Puerto Aubel, has not ended. They inform us of its selection at the Ecozine Film Festival, a competition focused on cinema that addresses the environmental challenges that lie ahead.

The event is from April 4 to 12 in Zaragoza. The short film, included in the #CortosQuercus2022 catalogue, will be screened on April 9 at the Filmoteca de Zaragoza.

LIFE IN A SECOND, great winner of El Tranvía Film Festival

Last Friday, the awards ceremony for the El Tranvía Film Festival was held in La Laguna, an event organized by the Cueva de Unicornios association.

Life in a second directed by Pablo Fajardo became the great winner of the night with five awards: best short film, direction and script (Pablo Fajardo), best performance (Iñaqui Miramón) and special mentions for the performances of Sigrid Ojel and Cristóbal Pinto.

In addition, another short film included in our Digital 104 Film Distribution catalogue, Patata by Emilio González, won the Special Mention for Best Short Film and a Special Mention for the Performance of Marta Fuenar. Congratulations!
