In the summer, when I come back by Alberto Prados continues its journey through the Latin American map and makes its next stop in Colombia, in the FICCHO - Festival De Cine de Chocó, that starts tomorrow November, 22nd. The contest builds alternative narratives of afrofuturist, indigenous and ciberpunk fiction that shape the transformative experiences of women and queer identities worldwide.

The short films The twilight of a perturbed consciousness by Manuela Gutiérrez Arrieta (#CantabriaEnCorto2023) and The Journey by the TROVADOR collective (#CortosQuercus2022) have been selected in Short Film Official Section of the 52nd edition of the Cartagena Film Festival (FICC52), a contest that was first created to honor the sea and naval life, but has since evolved into one the main cinematographic events in the country.
From November 26th - December 2nd in Cartagena, Murcia.

Two films featured in our catalogue are packing their bags to travel to Guatemala this week. Calima Rosa by Ismael Cabrera and In the summer, when I come back by Alberto Prados have been selected in the La otra Banqueta - Festival de cine por la diversidad sexual. A documentary feature film and a fiction short film to represent the diversity on stories about the LGBTI community in Spain.

We start off the week strong! The documentary short film Naiara, living without limits by J.A. Moyashi has not only been selected, but also nominated for Best Documentary in the Festival Internacional de Cine sobre Discapacidad. As its name implies, the contest's main goal is to show the true talent of people living with disabilities through stories centered around their realities and audiovisual pieces created by them.
From November 21st - 23rd in Moralzarzal, Madrid (Spain).

Two of the short films distributed by #Digital104FilmDistribution have been selected in the Festival Internacional de Cortos Ernesto Esteban Echenique. The short films are the documentary Aqueducts (#CortosQuercus2022), directed by Álvaro Martín Sanz, and Brais' video by Víctor García. The lenses through which the two films portray the world are utterly different, but equally representative of the existing talent in the Spanish cinema industry.

La PECCA recently announced the list of short films selected in this year's new edition, one of them being the film In the summer, when I come back by Alberto Prados. This is a small film contest centered on the representation of sexual and gender diversity that has collected films from all over the world that narrate queer stories and realities. Such is the story of Rubén, our protagonist; a kid that turns into a witness of the dramatic situation his own family is going through. The movie, set in Spain in the late 80s, reflects on the difficulties faced and overcome by the queer community in our country.
The screenings will take place on November, 26th at Teatro Alameda de Sevilla.

Next Saturday, November 18th, Jorge Guimerá will be invited to a session of the Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente y de Autoría de Canarias (FICINDIE), held in Santa Cruz de La Palma, where he will be leading the workshop "Indie Lab" along Rumen Justo. Such event will also include the screening of several short films such as Gliese, the science fiction short film that has began the development process to be turned into a feature film.
On Saturday, November 18th at 9pm at the Real Sociedad Cosmológica.
