The Torre en Corto - Festival de Torrelavega celebrates its 13th edition next week and we're glad to announce that this year the contest has selected a long list of short films featured in the #Cantabriaencorto2023 and #Digital104FilmDistribution catalogues. The selected short films are Matos, Echoes of Cuba by Aitor Sánchez Smith, Tooth for a Tooth by Sergio Garai, The Scream by Álvaro de la Hoz, Fairgame: 90 minutes with El Rifle de Caque Trueba y Juan Trueba, Out of the blue by Victoria Ladrón de Guevara y Alba Gómez Arozamena and Tomorrow by Daniel González Catalina.

The short film The Barn by Elisa Puerto Aubel has received the award for Best Fiction Short Film in the Imagina 2030 - Festival de Cine, Desarrollo y Sostenibilidad. The contest took place last Wednesday, November 29th in Madrid.

Today we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our film distribution company in Tenerife with a screening of a selection of short films that we've worked with over these years. The event will take place in TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes at 7pm and will host the premiere of the short film Take care directed by Jonay García with the participation of Alba Tonini, the film's protagonist.

The short film The Spanish King by Celine van Heel has been selected in Belgrade in the Merlinka Festival, a film contest that advocates for the rights of the LGBTQI+ community. The film will compete in the international section to win one of the Dorothy's slippers, the festival's award that makes reference to the 40s classic, the Wizard of Oz.

Shirampari, legacies of the river by Lucía Flórez has gathered three selections this week, this last one being in the Festival Internacional de Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano de La Habana. The contest's 44º edition will take place from December 8th - 17th.

Viewers from Yogyakarta will have the chance to enjoy Mohamed Dih's story, the protagonist of the documentary feature film The time after the rain by Nina Solà, Pol Picas y Júlia Girós. The film has been selected in the Forum Film Dokumenter festival.
